Recommended Shopping Portal And Apps
Anytime you shop online or even potentially in-store, you should be using a shopping portal. They are a great tool to increase your cash back or point earning potential. Here are my recommended shopping portals and apps.
Starting with Cashbackmonitor.com is always the best move. It saves you time by showing you all the portals and their payouts. You enter the retailer you are looking for and once you decide on which portal to use you can even click it and Cashback Monitor will take you to that specific portal. This is a must use website if you want to shop online!
There are many shopping portals out there, but not all of them are as reliable as others. There are 3 portals I recommend and I have found these to be the most reliable portals on the internet, so what are the portals?
Ebates has been on one my most trusted shopping portals for years. They aren't alway the highest when it comes to payouts, but they have been the most consistent for me.
Not only do they earn rewards when you shop online, Ebates also offers in-store offers where you can earn extra rewards when you shop in certain store.
There are actually 2 forms of rewards you can earn, but you need to decide (at this time) if you want to earn cash back or American Express Membership Reward points.
TopCashBack is my other cash back portal I love to use. The earning rates are consistently some of the highest out there. And I have found it to be extremely reliable. Anytime I have had an issue, their customer service has been amazing and corrected any issues I may have had.
When it comes to payouts, there are a few options including options like Amazon, Target, Hotels.com and more, where you earn extra percentage in rewards when you redeem that way.
Shop With Chase
If you someone who likes to earn Ultimate Reward points, then Shop With Chase might be your preferred portal. When you use Shop With Chase, you will earn Ultimate Rewards points that you can use through their travel portal, or even transfer to one of their transfer partners.
Be sure to check Cashback Monitor, since the different Chase cards can have different payouts for their respective portal.
You also don't need to use the Chase card associated with that particular portal. For example if the Chase Sapphire Preferred is offering 2 Ultimate Reward points per dollar at Sears and your Chase Freedom 5% category includes Sears. You can click to Sears on the Chase Sapphire Portal and pay with your Chase Freedom to stack those deals.
And a YMMV situation, you could buy gift cards and have the portal pay out for those. Not all portals will, but Chase has been known to pay on gift cards. Again, YMMV.
I have used Dosh for quite a while now. It has been really great in larger cities where I can earn cash back at certain restaurants. This is in addition to my credit card rewards and dining reward program.
There are other ways to earn Dosh Rewards, but I really use them for restaurant earnings.
There are even stores like Sam's Club, and Dunkin Donuts as well. Which some really like that Sam's Club earnings :-)
Drop has been one of favorite apps, because it is one of the few ways to earn extra rewards when you shop on Amazon! You can also earn rewards on your daily purchases at Starbucks, Chipotle, Target, and Dunkin Donuts.
Occasionally, there are extra offers to earn a chunk of points after you meet certain requirements.
Also, every 5 transactions you hit, they have a game called "Supercharge," which is just like Snake (oh, I loved that game!). Where each piece is extra rewards.
My favorite way to redeem my rewards is for Amazon Gift Cards, which I turn around and buy some other travel related gift card.
This app has been one of the easiest ways to earn extra rewards without even thinking about it.
This is probably one of the easiest ways to not only earn United miles, but also the fastest way to prevent you United miles from expiring.
You buy gift cards in this app, sometimes for the exact amount you need and other times in certain amounts. And with each gift card you earn United miles, in addition to your credit card rewards.
There are so many gift cards to choose from, so you should definitely take a look around the app.
And your United miles post immediately, so if you realize your miles are about to expire, you can just buy a gift card and reset your clock.
